Known collectively in Evenhold as the "Elf Lands", this vast region in far west Addar is home to numerous predominantly elven societies, the oldest dating back to the Ages of Ruin. The long-lived elven peoples of the region are culturally diverse, some building large and flourishing cities, others preferring to live in small settlements or scattered habitations. The lands are home to some of the most skilled artists and artisans on Eamon.
While the elves are mostly peaceful among themselves, they have contended for many centuries with the hostility of the neighboring Ilvithri ("Darklords"), a fanatical, pseudo-religious society of dark magic users bent on expansion and conquest. The strength, foresight, and magical aptitude of the elves has so far kept the forces of the Darklords in check, but the long border between the two powers is marred by incessant skirmishes and incursions.
The Elf Lands are bordered on the west by the Sea of Death and on the north by numerous small societies of humans, gnomes, and other races.
