Elves are an ancient and long-lived race who are most populous in the forested western lands of the continent of Addar. Human-like in form, elves tend to be fair, lithe, and graceful, with a natural aptitude for magic.

Like humans, elves are thought to have originated on other worlds and migrated to Eamon in the far-distant past, becoming one of the earliest intelligent races to inhabit Eamon (after dragons and the space-faring Yag). Elven lore tells of the elf-father Imin, his wife Iminyë, and their clan who were born in the Plane of Eä and journeyed through rifts to the primeval forests of Addar around 35,000 years ago, establishing the foundations of Eamonite elven civilization. After several millennia they were joined by moon-elf emigrants from Toril, then later by others from Mystara, Tarddiad, Golarion, and elsewhere, each wave bringing new talents, languages, and diversity to elven society.

Today most elves live in their ancestral lands in western Addar where they maintain an uneasy defense against the belligerent Ilvithri.
