The slow-moving Arcos River arises in the foothills of the Horn Belt in Davelmar Forest, then twists its way south through the vast Arcosian Swamp, branching and looping through innumerable, foul-smelling lakes and ponds. It enters the Kingdom of Evenhold in the Far Riding and flows southeast past Knarwich before emptying into the salty Dreamless Sea.
