The Valley of Cold Iron is a small, semi-independent barony within the Kingdom of Evenhold named for the rare cold iron ore mined there. The ore is prized for its anti-magic properties, and its production and sale is the backbone of the barony's economy.
Fertile and lightly forested, the valley lies at the southern end of the Jarlschlager Range and overlooks the more barren wastes of Burnmarch to the west.
The barony's ruler is the honorable Baron Randal; its citizens are predominantly human, but elves and pixies also live in the valley.
