Century is a small monarchy on the border of the Kingdom of Evenhold whose name stems from its origin as a hundred.
In the early seventh century Cairnmount was the largest hundred in Hayreach and home to the powerful Aldigrim family, a wealthy noble house with a long history of service to the kingdom of Evenhold. In 606 YA King Joras permitted the family to purchase the land from the crown and it became a small independent monarchy in its own right, officially named the Free Hundred of Cairnmount but commonly known as "Century".
Though more properly a principality, Century's rulers style themselves as kings and queens. Its current monarch is King Stevron who rules from the capital city of Herrath.
