Standing at the northern end of the Horn Belt, the Sister Mountains enclose a small region of valleys and passes between the forested Northern Reaches to the northwest and the wild Barbarian Lands to the southeast. The warrior nation of Larboria claims the easternmost end of the range. The region takes its name from seven high, snow-capped peaks that overlook the lands below, collectively known as the Sisters.
The region is home to the Kingdom of the Sister Mountains, a predominantly human nation that has frequent skirmishes with the nearby barbarian tribes, notably the Kretons who previously occupied the region's southern hills (and who in recent decades have been pushed farther south). The Kretons know the region as the Sauer Mountains.
