Queen Riveneta was a monarch of the Kingdom of Evenhold in the 12th century, ruling jointly with her husband King Karsten. Respected as capable rulers, the couple held court during the winters at Bardshill Castle in Evenhold but during the summer resided at a smaller castle in Marewood Forest that Riveneta was especially fond of. When the queen died unexpectedly in 1177, the grieving king ordered the castle abandoned.
