The Northern Troll Kingdom is an ancient troll civilization occupying the vast network of caverns and chambers that run through the roots of the Aevinn Mountains.
Trolls have lived in and around the range since the dawn of recorded history, but treaties at the end of the Human-Troll Wars effectively confined them to their mountains and tunnels, with trolls prohibited from entering neighboring human nations and humans barred from trespassing on troll territory. The empires that fought the trolls have long since fallen, but both races still refrain from encroachment, and direct contact between them is rare.
The tree trolls of West Aevinn are a separate branch of trollkind that live outside the bounds of the kingdom in the western forests and foothills of the range. A separate troll civilization inhabits the Sax Mountains of southern Addar.
