Judaic beliefs and traditions are first documented on Eamon around 700 BA, the result of a group of Essenes — a mystical and ascetic Jewish sect — inadvertently traveling through a rift from first century Qumran on Earth. Their numbers were sufficient to allow them to retain and continue their culture in their new home, and a small population of Essenes (who call themselves the Children of the Light) lives in relative isolation in the southern Wyvern Mountains.
Judaism is an ancient religion centered on the belief in a singular God, with prayers, rituals, and related cultural traditions and observances all central to the lives of adherents. The teachings and commandments the people follow are described in their holy texts, some of which are collectively known as the Torah.
