Islam is a monotheistic terrestrial religion founded on Earth around 172 BA (610 CE). Its adherents, known as Muslims, believe in a singular god called Allah, revere his human prophet Muhammad, and follow a holy scripture (the Quran) which Allah revealed to Muhammad.
