Frequently shrouded in rolling banks of fog, the Great Lake in the New Kingdom is serene and picturesque, stretching east from Kingscourt and north from Iron Castle. At around 140 square miles it's the largest lake in central Addar, though parts of it are very shallow. Near the center of the Great Lake is a small island with ancient stone ruins and barrows dating back millennia.
Locals sometimes catch strange species of fish and other aquatic animals in the lake that are found nowhere else on Eamon, a phenomenon that the wizards and sages in Kingscourt attribute to transient rifts in the water.
