"Borrowing" a horse in Evenhold, you follow several signs to the Beginners Forest and eventually arrive at a green, vine-covered arch over a wrought-iron gate. Worked into the design of the gate are the words, "Beginners Only".
As you stand there, the local knight marshal comes out to inspect you, then unlocks the gate and gives you permission to enter. You step through and begin to make your way down a trail that leads west through the thick undergrowth and into the depths of the forest.
