Weyren is one of the greatest deities in the Alaxaran Pantheon, second in might only to Alaxar himself. Aligned to chaotic neutral, he is a major god of the plane of water and is the god of the seas and all of its creatures. Weyren is symbolized as a sea giant or as an octopus whose tentacles penetrate all seas. His sister is Brynne.
Weyren is worshipped primarily by mariners and fisherman. The arched entrance to the harbor district in Evenhold is known as Weyren's Gate and is inscribed with the motto, "Weyren is the sea, Weyren is the life." The Temple of Weyren also stands in the western portion of the district.
Sailor often express distances at sea in terms of Weyren Strides.
