Located a few miles south of the city of Evenhold on a bluff near the Malphigian Sea, the original Main Hall of the Guild of Free Adventurers is a crumbling but picturesque monument to the institution's early history. Erected in 216 YA on land provided by one of its wealthy founding patrons, the three-story stone building housed the offices of the guild, shops of various vendors, and apartments for many of the guild's early members, arranged around a tree-shaded central quad.
The hall was expanded and refurbished in the mid-400s, but during the reign of King Molinar the guild built a new and larger headquarters in the city's Temple District and officially relocated there in the summer of 660. The old hall remained guild property and continued to serve for many years as a place of habitation for junior adventurers, but the passage of time and the many rowdy contests and brawls of its tenants took their toll. A combat exhibition by the demigiant Gulphus led to a partial collapse of the south wing in 807, and a fire in 809 sparked by an errant blast spell left the western portion of the building uninhabitable. The guild officially closed the structure soon after and it has remained unoccupied ever since.
Many of the guild's earliest members were buried in a graveyard thought to now lie in or near the overgrown apple grove east of the site.
