The vast Northern Forests of Addar cover much of the Northern Reaches and have yet to be reliably mapped.
The most densely wooded portion is the southern Davelmar Forest, a lush deciduous woodland that fills the region between the Aevinn Range and the Horn Belt, while farther north the trees thin into countless stretches of mixed deciduous and coniferous woodland, open meadows, and wide clearings of waving grass. Near the coast the forest dissolves into scattered thickets and marshland.
A single long trade road snakes through the forests, connecting Evenhold in the south with the distant northern harbor of Andport. The mighty Sayell River also wends its way north and for most of its length is easily navigable by boat.
Numerous minor nations and semi-nomadic tribes of humans, orcs, and other races live in the forests, many of them loosely confederated as the "Northern Kingdoms".
