Within the Ovidoric calendar, the Imperial calendar, and many others, months are the largest segments of a year.
The eight months in the Ovidoric calendar reflect the changing seasons: Winds, Storms, Waters, Blooms, Highsun, Fields, Harvests, and Feasts. The names in other languages tend to keep the same meaning; e.g., Harvests in Aenglish becomes Ernten in Theodish and Récoltes in Oïl.
