Lucicorns, also sometimes called blindhorns or firefiends, are a species of flying reptilian predators most common in northeastern Addar. Whether they're native to Eamon or came from elsewhere (perhaps via the Floating Island) is a mystery, but their unique physiology suggests the latter.
A mature lucicorn is roughly the size of an adult human and resembles a terrestrial pteranodon, with wide leathery wings and a sharp beak. Its strangest feature is the horn on its head from which it projects a powerful beam of light to dazzle and stun its prey. The creatures' tough hides resist arrows and even spears. Though they're known to hunt sheep, goats, or other small livestock, they also scavenge carrion, which may account for the putrid, rotting odor that often accompanies them.
In late 1119 a group of at least 60 migrating lucicorns descended on the city of Evenhold, causing chaos before being driven away by the kingdom's soldiers. At least two inadvertently passed through the Aua Rift to Earth.
