Heryn, roughly 25 miles southeast of the capital of Asereht, is the largest town in the southern quarter of the land of Rhyl and sits on the main road that leads into the neighboring Kingdom of Evenhold.
The region around the town, a picturesque patchwork of meadows, spinneys, and brooks, is home to a rich diversity of bird life including some exotic species rarely seen elsewhere. The last dwindling colony of oreigans lived near Heryn before their extinction in the early sixth century.
