Great Eldur (🔊) is a yellow-white star near the heart of the Silvern River around which the magical world of Eamon revolves.
The inhabitants of Eamon commonly identify their star simply as the Sun, and when referring to it by name often just call it Eldur. The name Great Eldur is used to distinguish it from Little Eldur, a distant golden companion star which orbits the rest of the system.
Four terrestrial worlds orbit Great Eldur, with Eamon being the largest. Little is known about the other three, but astronomers have made careful measurements and accurate models of their movements through the sky. At least one world is known to be in close orbit around Little Eldur, but its nature remains a mystery.
