Fahrnor (🔊) is an opulent, bustling metropolis in the border province of Carrum and is the largest and most properous city in the western portion of the Kingdom of Evenhold. A regional hub of culture and commerce, the city draws travelers and traders from the nearby nations of Trillium, Rhyl, and the New Kingdom, and its streets and squares are amply stocked with shops selling practically any product a buyer might need.
The city sits on a bend of the Tofra River which flows to the Malphigian Sea about 50 miles to the south, a stretch routinely traversed by river boats ferrying goods to distant ports. Rising above the city to the north is a mountainous massif within which is the ancient abandoned fortress of Kahr-Dur.
Fahrnor's origins are lost to time, but the site is known to have been inhabited for at least three thousand years, having previously been the seat of the Ervuolian vassal state of Carumbar.
