Magic in the world of Eamon is broadly divided into two categories depending on how and where it originates: arcane magic and divine magic.
Unlike arcane magic, divine magic doesn't arise naturally from the world; instead it originates from deities and other powerful supernatural beings such as angels and demons, or from the divine realms they inhabit. Access to divine magic is therefore much more limited and intentional, usually being granted just to clerics, druids, or other beings favored by the gods. The abilities gained through divine magic always align with the natures of the gods who grant it.
