Darland is a province in the west-central region of the Kingdom of Evenhold centered around the city of Tharkeld. Much of the province is given over to agriculture and sheep-herding, and the plains around the capital are a patchwork of fields and pastures.
The province's governor is a wealthy tyrant named Torrik who rules Darland from his castle east of Tharkeld where he holds prisoners, throws lavish parties, and entertains emissaries from other lands.
