Virrat (🔊) is a duchy within the Kingdom of Evenhold located about three days' travel west of Evenhold. Its capital is Virrat City, a thriving commercial and cultural center built along the Tovesi River; most of the rest of the duchy is given over to agriculture and is dotted with small farming villages and market towns such as Lieto.
Kivisilta Castle, an Anharic-era fortification southwest of Virrat City, once stood guard over the Tovesi Valley but is now an abandoned ruin.
The Cobalt Front, a zealous anti-magic movement based in the land of Nival, has recently made inroads in Virrat and neighboring Carrum, and is known to be recruiting followers in Virrat City and the surrounding communities.
