Silver Seas

The tropical waters of Eamon's Silver Seas (identified on some maps simply as the South Seas) extend for thousands of miles, stretching from the continent of Veldith and the Western Isles all the way east along the southern coasts of Addar to where the East Archipelago meets Ja'gala. Far to the south the sea meets the shores of the U-shaped continent of Karune, where legends say natural silver deposits and formations are so abundant that the metal can be gathered with ease from shallow parts of the coastal seafloor. The sea's southern extremes are not well charted, and the lands and creatures who inhabit it are the subject of many wild tales and conflicting accounts.

Warm currents from the Silver Seas circulate north through the Sea of Dreams and the Malphigian, giving the islands and surrounding coastal lands a milder climate than their latitude would normally allow but bringing frequent storms and occasional hurricanes.

The east wing of the third floor of the Museum of Natural History in Evenhold is devoted to exhibits about the Silver Seas.
