Nestled into a valley deep in the heart of the Great Mountains, this alpine lake was for centuries a holy site of the Kalosan people who lived in the lands to the south. A priest discovered the lake in the fifth century YA and following a mystical vision built a temple on the small island near the lake's northern end.
Several rivers and streams pour over the high cliffs that surround the lake, forming towering waterfalls and filling the valley with a constant low roar. The largest is the Ruby which winds south for nearly five hundred miles to the Sea of Dreams.
A small stone keep stands on the southeast shore.
