The town of Saltpoint in the province of Ravencliff straddles the cliffs that border the Dreamless Sea, rising from the stone quay at the water's edge up through winding terraces filled with homes and quaint shops. At the clifftops the skyline is marked by the tall, square watchtower of the local barracks and the pinnacles of the town's modest but stately temple. Roads lead northwest into the Duchy of Elebron and southwest to the Great East Road.
Many townsfolk make their living harvesting salt from a chain of numerous evaporation ponds in the nearby coastal flats.
