Natural rift formation, sharply higher through much of the fourth and fifth centuries, peaks with a spate of rifts opening to points on Earth, with a handful connecting to other far-flung worlds. Those who are drawn through the rifts to Eamon (either voluntarily or accidentally) bring with them their languages, religions, and culture. Some from north-central Europe settle in eastern Evenhold's plains and mountain foothills, near what is now the Jarlschlager Range.
