The good King of Evenhold summons you to the castle. He tells you of an unhappy kingdom, far away, where a mysterious plague caused all their animal life to die. They have sent a kindly emissary to Evenhold to negotiate the restocking of their stricken kingdom.
During the negotiations all the animal life in Evenhold mysteriously disappeared. The emissary was found in his chambers — in a deep sleep.
You have been selected as the most trustworthy and cunning of the warriors. It is your moral obligation to venture forth, find, and return our missing animals so that Evenhold can be happy once again. It is a dangerous task. Any delay could be deadly to our purloined pets, beasts, and other creatures!
The citizens of Evenhold know this is a difficult and dangerous mission. They have come to wish you "good luck", especially the children.
