Kensha was the daughter and youngest child of Corlis III, ruler of the Kingdom of Evenhold.

Following the death of Corlis in 194, his two eldest children — the twins Charlast and Calibeth — fought for the throne and ignited a war that led to the downfall of the monarchy.

Following the war, the Council of Twelve banished Charlast and Calibeth and assumed political control of the kingdom, but in 201 permitted Kensha to be crowned as a figurehead queen. She reigned in a ceremonial capacity until her death in 248.
