The holiday of High Benison is a rare event that occurs only every five years on the first Arn of the month of Fields. Tradition holds that on the day of High Benison masters and rulers must grant special requests or favors ("benisons") requested by their vassals.
In the city of Evenhold, citizens begin to queue up at the gates of Bardshill Castle on the day before (or earlier), eager for a chance to have an audience with the monarch and make a request. The king or queen traditionally hold audiences throughout the day from sunrise to sunset.
