The Foulwater Marshes are a stinking swampland that lies along the meandering upper reaches of the Westsong River on the border of the provinces of Fenshire and Meadshire. Though paths wend through the marshes, passage across it is dangerous both due to the spongy and unstable ground and the dangerous wildlife that stalks the foggy land and water.
Grimhold's Tower stands just north of the marshes.
