A subtle but potent magical force pervades the forest that impedes travelers' ability to navigate or escape, particularly from the innermost depths of the woods. Paths twist and compasses fail, and many who enter never find their way out.
The eastern reaches of the forest that cover the foothills of the Aevinn Range are inhabited by tree trolls, cousins of the subterranean trolls that live below the range.
