Doomlight is the name given to the transit of Little Eldur across the heart of the Silvern River, which from Eamon is situated in the constellation of the Wellspring. Due to Little Eldur's great distance and slow orbit, the transit occurs only every 2,300 years.
Historically the Doomlight coincided with instances of the Ruin and it's long been assumed the two were connected, but scholars do not yet understand how. The most recent Doomlight occurred around 404 BA, the expected year of the Ninth Ruin, but efforts by Xor'urr held back the emergence of the Great Old Ones for several centuries. The next Doomlight is expected in roughly seven hundred years.
