Valkenburg Castle in eastern Aknor, previously the seat of the House of Valkenburg, is the haunt of the lich sorcerer Draxnehr who seized it from the family in 1188. Lord Hobart, patriarch of the Valkenburgs and the rightful owner of the castle, has sought the services of fighters capable of defeating Draxnehr and restoring his ancestral home, but has so far been unsuccessful.
