In centuries past, Castle Cyrak was the home of the Cyrakian Princes, rulers of the Old Kingdom west of the Great Mountains.
Along with the rest of the kingdom, the castle fell to the invading forces of the Dark Lords around the year 900, at which point the final ruler, Talon Cyrak, unleashed a plague-like curse meant to punish the collaborators who aided the conquerors.
