Castanamir's Island

Castanamir's Island, also called the Lost Island, is a small, rocky isle near the southwestern end of the salty Dreamless Sea, situated a few miles east of the shore. In the tenth century it was the home of a powerful mage named Castanamir who reportedly carved an elaborate underground stronghold for himself there, but both Castanamir and his entire island inexplicably disappeared without a trace in 998 YA.

Old accounts describe the surface of the island as a rocky waste, devoid of all vegetation and possessed of no animal life other than passing birds and insects.
