Birik is an extinct trading settlement that once surrounded the Dramidj Rift near the border of the provinces of Lucidia and Frukendorf. The rise of trade through the rift in the late first century drew warehouses, offices, inns, taverns, and a barracks, and soon both ends of the rift were surrounded by a small but busy settlement. Both pieces, together known as Birik, operated as a single town.
In 208 the Invoked Devastation annihilated the Baklunish Empire and wiped out the Oerthian side of the settlement, leaving the rift connected to nothing but a desolate and uninhabited wasteland. The portion on Eamon was soon abandoned and few signs of it now remain.
