Following the War of the Twins and the rise of the Council of Twelve, a period of peace, growth, and discovery ensued in the Kingdom of Evenhold that was marked by numerous missions of exploration. Cartographers journeyed into more distant portions of Addar, while daring captains and their crews sailed out into the deep ocean to chart undiscovered lands. Some suffered misfortune and never returned to report their findings, but many like Aldus Poak and other great navigators brought back valuable information about the wider world.

The period is usually defined as beginning in 230, with the launching of Poak's first voyage, and lasting for roughly two centuries.
