You awake from a surreal dream to discover that your chambers are on fire! Escaping through a window into the alley, you run into your friend Hokas Tokas, visibly weakened and upset, who tells you that the Main Hall of the Guild of Free Adventurers is under siege by the notorious Bandits Guild of Frukendorf. The attackers are seeking something known as the "Runcible Cargo", a mysterious shipment that they wrongly believe to be in the possession of the guild's pawnbroker Sam Slicker but which never arrived.
Urgently directing you to Main Hall, Hokas shouts, "You must either locate it and deliver it to the bandits, or else find a means of defeating them! Time is short!"
